Activated Microglia Induce A1 Astrocytes

Neuronal Activity Affects Astrocytes via Notch Pathway
Hasel et al.의 paper 는 neuronal activity가 astrocyte의 development와 metabolism에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 보여줍니다. 특히, Tocris의 γ-secretase inhibitor인 DAPT를 이용한 neuronal Notch signalling의  inhibition은 mature astrocytes의 key function인 astrocytic glutamate 흡수를 차단하는 것을 보여줍니다.
